Spring Outdoor Activity Day Saturday 14th March

A Spring Outdoor Activity Day has been organised on Saturday 14 March 2015 to encourage families to get active in the great outdoors. The organisers; Fermanagh District Council, in partnership with Waterways Ireland, the National Trust, Fermanagh Ramblers and Hill Walking Club, Erne Paddlers and Erne Anglers, have all come together to provide enjoyable activities with qualified leaders to help people enjoy hill-walking, canoeing, angling and cycling.

The Fermanagh Ramblers and Hill Walking Club will facilitate an advanced walk taking in Cuilcagh Mountain, as well as an intermediate walk within the Gortalughany area. There will also be a family walk within the Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark Nature Reserve.

Canoeing and angling activities will be delivered by members of the Erne Paddlers and Erne Anglers respectively at the Fermanagh Lakeland Forum. In addition, a family cycle, starting out at the Ardhowen Theatre in Enniskillen, which will be led by qualified instructors, will proceed through the picturesque National Trust, Castle Coole Estate.

Registration is essential, with places allocated on a first come, first served basis.
