Grants of £3,000 are available to assist businesses in accessing superfast broadband via satellite, but this grant money is fast running out and will soon be coming to an end.

Duncan & D’Arcy Live in the Community Centre

duncan d'arcyBBC Ulster are hosting their 40th Birthday celebrations live in Derrygonnelly Community Centre on Friday 2nd October.
Hugo Duncan will present his daily radio show live on BBC Ulster from 1pm – 3pm,  with Fr Brian D’Arcy co-presenting.
Everyone is welcome to this free event featuring local and top Country & Irish artists and musicians.

Doors open at 12.15pm.

 

 

 

 

 


Eddie Duffy & Mick Hoy Memorial Traditional Music Festival

– 30th Anniversary

 

This annual music festival kicks off on Friday 9th October with an opening concert featuring no less than four of this year’s All-Ireland Fleadh winners, and also the crowning of the new ‘Maid of Carrick’. music festival

Saturday 10th October will see a Family Fun Day, a vintage car display, music sessions in the local pubs and and a sets ceili with music provided by “The Long Note” Ceili Band.

On Sunday it all spills out onto the streets, with local and visiting musicians entertaining. For the full programme click here.


“50 Shades of Acres” by local artist Ted Maye

On Thursday 29th October at 7.30pm, the Irvinestown Amateur Dramatic Society will be treating us to a performance of the play “50 Shades of Acres”, 50 Shades of Acres OCT2015which was a runaway success at the Lady of the Lake Festival in Irvinestown this summer.

The play was written by local artist Ted Maye, who have many successful plays under his belt.

Admission to the play is £5 for adults and £3 for under 16’s, with all proceeds going to the Partnership’s annual Christmas Party and the upkeep of the village’s Festive Lights.

Tickets for sale at Fairview Meats, The Casson and the Cosy Bar, from Committee members and on the door on the day.

FEARmanagh, Saturday 3rd October, starting from Community Centre

Fear

FEAR is a multi-sport competition consisting of three sporting disciplines cycling, trail running and kayaking. Taking place on Saturday the 3rd October 2015 and exploring some of the beautiful Fermanagh countryside, FEAR will certainly be memorable!

At 74km maybe FEAR is a little daunting this time around, so why not try the  FEAR short route at 35km,  also on Saturday 3rd October.

DDCP Monthly Meeting, Monday 12th October, Time & Venue to be confirmed

Here we meet up to discuss how we would like our area to develop, funding opportunities, current issues and upcoming projects and events, etc.

We would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone to come along to the meetings and have a say in the future of our village.

‘Get to Know Your Neighbours’, Sunday 25th October, Four Local Churches

get to know your neighbourAs part of our working together, the clergy from our four local churches are organising a ‘Get to know your neighbour’ event on Sunday 25th October.

We will all meet at Springfield Methodist Church at 2.30pm. After this we will then go to Devenish Parish Church in Monea. We will then go to St Patrick’s Church in Derrygonnelly and finish our visit in Inishmacsaint Parish church where there will be light refreshments.
