Weekly Blog, Thursday 29th October

The Partnership are hard at work organising this year’s Christmas event which will be held on Thursday 10th December and will include the Switching on the Christmas Lights in and a Christmas Fair afterwards in the Community Centre. We are delighted that Church Hill Silver Band has yet again agreed to come along to play us some Christmas tunes to put us in a festive mood, and we have also put in our request to the North Pole for a special appearance by the big man himself!

We are now calling out to any local crafters and bakers who would like to take a stand to showcase their work at our Christmas Fair. We have a few confirmed already but would love to see some more! If interested please call Catherine on 028 6864 1903 and she will talk you through the details.

In addition to this we are also delighted that Siobhan Hodgson are organising a Boden Pop-Up shop in her shop Lotions and Potions  on Thursday 5th November in aid of the village Christmas Lights. We will post more details about this event shortly, so keep an eye out!

In the meanwhile, have a Happy Halloween, and hopefully we will see you this evening in the Community Centre where the Irvinestown Amateur Dramatic Society will be performing their play “50 Shades of Acres”. Doors open at 7pm and play starts at 7.30pm. Don’t miss out!
