Weekly Blog, Thursday 17th December
“Remember, Remember the 10th of December!”
Thursday 10th December 2015 was the date for the Derrygonnelly & District Community Partnership’s annual Switching on the Christmas Lights and Christmas Fair. It was a bitter and wet evening, however a great crowd gathered around our Christmas tree to welcome the festive season to our village. Unfortunately we had some technical problems on the night, however our very capable volunteers managed to get the tree twinkling just after the crowd had left (typical!) Regardless of our little ‘hitch’ with the Christmas tree, we had a great night with a great turnout and hopefully fun was had by all!
We would also like to extend out thanks to the children and teachers in our three primary schools (Derrygonnelly Primary School, St Patrick’s Primary School and Killyhommon Primary School) for adorning the Community Centre with their beautiful artwork. See below for a selection:
We would like to take this opportunity
to thank the community for supporting us
throughout the year, and to wish everyone
a peaceful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
We’re signing off social media for now, however we will be back in the new year!
Derrygonnelly & District Community Partnership will hold its next monthly meeting on Monday 11th January 2016. All welcome.
